Remember the seven cardinal sins? You’re given the serious task of adding a new one to the list — another trait or behavior you find particularly unacceptable, for whatever reason. What’s sin #8 for you? Why?
‘Hateful Judgment’ would have to be that sin. With misogyny and racism still rampant, where people regardless of gender (or non-binary) and race aren’t getting as further ahead as one would think would happen in the free world.
We live in a world where people are blamed for being poor when, much of the time, they cannot help it. Where victims of abuse (whether female or non-white) are being blamed for abuses against them. Where more and more Black people are incarcerated with lengthy sentences, far more than their white counterparts. Where Black people go missing or are murdered with no justice served for them or their families, as if they don’t matter. Where corporations are treated as people, moreso that the women they employ.
That ‘hateful judgment’ is possibly the worst sin than the previous seven, for the original seven can go one of two ways: good or bad. Hateful judgment is just… evil, unproductive, cruel.
